It's clear exercise has health benefits both physical and mental. But what if we could prove it has more of an impact on your mental health than your economic status? Exercise has always been difficult for me, as I am NOT a natural athletic. I hear RUN, I dream of RUM, LOL. But through life’s obstacles, exercise has come in the most healing form. Nowadays there is always a new gym opening, or new fitness trend. I will be the first one to admit; I am gullible and have tried just about all of them. As a person who has a love hate relationship with working out, I have spent a lot of money on fitness related classes and equipment over my lifetime. To a lot of people, the thought of spending $75/month to exercise is ridiculous and they could never justify it. When I’m not working out consistently I’m less patient, and just not as happy overall. I’m pretty frugal in most aspects of my life and stick to my budget each month, but working out is something very important to me. I don’t really want the added expense but if it makes me more focused at work, a better wife, a better friend, and happier with myself I think it is completely worth it. It all goes back to picking and choosing what is most important to you. In choosing to pay for a more expensive workout I continue to bring my lunch every day, and I don’t impulse spend. What makes it worth it is the feeling of accomplishment when you do something you never though you could.
Here is how my life changed after exercising regularly:
-More energy every day
-Lowered Stress
-Weight Loss
-Sleep Better
-More Confidence
