Working a mediocre job

You would think by my mid 30's, 1 Bachelor degree and two associate degrees, that I would be living my best years both financially and personally. So what happened, why am I not monetarily growing. Well If you had asked me a few years ago, this would be a very sore subject for me. You see I have always put others before myself, thinking it was for the benefit for them and a sacrifice. Those good deeds slowly turned to resentment and I found myself being unhappy that I had not made this "milestone" in life. Then after a series of unfortunate events I found myself turning that perspective into a whole new light. You see these " other" people that I envy so much, worked 80 hours a week, never had time for their kids, did not really make a difference in peoples lives, and most of all they were stressed and exhausted. What was there to envy about that? I came to the conclusion that I was way more rich without making the money. I work less than 35 hours a week, have plenty of time to spend with my kids, can make dinner every night, can plan vacations, on top of bringing in enough income to support myself and my kids. While I may not see my job as important, as I read reviews and discuss with patients how much I and my team have impacted them personally, it makes me realize that value of what I do and that its enough.
Here are some benefits for working less hours
-More time for fitness. You may be able to squeeze in more workouts. “Having a little more time, if you’re using it wisely, can be very beneficial.
-Opportunity to Earn More Money
Although it may sound counter-intuitive, working part-time can sometimes enable an individual to make more money – especially if he or she is capable of balancing more than one job. I currently have several side things going on that bring in additional income.
-Reduced Stress Levels and Improved Health. Overall I have a very low stress job, I am extremely grateful for that. Having a peaceful mindset makes you a happier person in general.
-The Importance of Family
Working part-time or fewer hours is ideal for family-oriented individuals. I cant stress this one enough. I am so rich in the fact that I have time for my family. I have time be involved, and actually raise my kids. That is something money can never replace for me. I value every trip we have gone on, every memory and all the time I was able to make them feel loved.
